As summer break approaches, many of you are starting to make travel plans. Of course, saving is on your mind.
Turns out, you could save a great deal of money if you wait until the last minute to book an Airbnb. Sounds crazy, right?
What if I told you I found a vacation rental blocks away from Jacksonville Beach for $74 a night. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a full kitchen that includes dishes, silverware and a coffee maker. It also has Wifi and a ukelele! Outside, there’s a gorgeous deck just blocks away.
I also found a Jacksonville Beach House on a weekday and booked for the same day for $165 cheaper than its average nightly price.
Turns out, you can get amazing bargains on Airbnb at the last minute everywhere.
Last minute deals on Airbnb are everywhere, even Orlando if you’re planning a Disney trip.
If you book last minute, you can often find entire houses anywhere in the world, not just cheaper than they usually are, but sometimes far cheaper than you’d find a single hotel room.
A few words of caution though: In most cases, you do have to pay a cleaning fee, which could vary depending on the size of the house. But it’s only a one-time fee regardless of how many days you stay.
Also, there’s no guarantee the same place will have the same rate at any other time. You bide your time to see if the price drops even lower, but the longer you wait, the more likely someone will get the property from under you.
